At Elephantik, we believe in the process of building brands from the ground up. We also believe in providing total transparency with our clients, as this process has a method that gives structure to our creative process. And our branding process has taken time to develop and it has been refined by our past experiences. Our 5-step process covers the majority of the challenges and goals needed to adequately create a new brand or update an existing brand. We hope this information is useful to you, and would love to have a dialogue with you ( Feel free to drop us a line on on twitter if you like what we have to say or have suggestions about our branding process @elephantik ).
Step 1 Research
We begin each branding assignment with research. Our goals are to discover the target market, strengths
and unique attributes of a brand, then we dig deeper discovering a voice and a vision of where your brand can go.
Step 2 Planning
In the second stage, we plan for the future of the brand by writing a creative brief; a document that will guide our creative process by establishing in writing:
» Key attributes of the brand
» The message, tone of voice & vision
» Products/services
» The unique competitive advantages
» The stake holders and their priority
» All desired objectives
Step 3 Identity Creation
We create the brand’s identity while keeping in mind the brand’s potential future needs, including package design. Using the brief and research as a guide, we create a unified style and voice in the creative.
Step 4 Building Brand Elements
We build creative assets for the brand to help launch a new brand/product. This involves creating the identity and integrating into a variety of design elements such as:
» Social Media Experiences
» Press Kits
» Annual Reports
» Email Campaigns
» Presentation Design
» Collateral
» Social Media Wallpapers
» Packaging Design
» Exterior Signage
» Interior Signage
» Tradeshow Graphics
Step 5 Brand Management
Elephantik will supply you with a brand style guideline, which gives you tips on how & how not to use your newly created brand identity and brand messaging systems. This will enable you to have the tools you need to protect the look and feel of your brand.
